Katie Robinson Thompson, 80, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at her home.
Born in Kershaw, she was the daughter of the late Vancey Cleveland and Kate Payne Robinson. She retired as a registered nurse and was a member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church in Liberty Hill.
Survivors are her husband, Thomas Neil Thompson of Lancaster; a daughter, Jane Renee Thompson and her friend, John Seegars, both of Kershaw; two sons, Richard L. Thompson and his former wife, Sandra Fletcher Thompson, both of Liberty Hill, and Kevan N. Thompson and his wife, Linda, both of Heath Springs; three grandchildren, Mindy E. Baker and her husband, Joshua, Katherine S. Thompson and her friend, Galtin Jenkins, and Dylan Hammond; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Allan Cox, Nataleigh E. Baker and Kirsten L. Jenkins; two brothers, James Robinson and his wife, Shirley, both of Rock Hill, and the Rev. Ray Robinson of Fort Lawn; three sisters, Margie Ballard of Kershaw, Marcene Fields and her husband, Bill, both of Hampton, Ga., and Ester Kennington and her husband, Gordon, both of Kershaw.
A graveside service for Mrs. Thompson is 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Heath Springs. The Revs. Karen Ballard and Ray Robinson will officiate.
The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at the cemetery.
