WEST VIRGINIA –Louise Meador Young, 77, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, from this earth to be with her Lord after a long illness. One of 11 children, Louise was born April 10, 1935, at Ellison Ridge and was a daughter of the late Dewey Franklin and Eda Lilly Meador. She was married to the late Hubert N. Young. Louise was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a member of the Zion Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Young lived in Lancaster for over 20 years where she worked at Roses' department store. Mrs. Young is survived by two daughters, Connie Walker and her husband, Danny, of Cool Ridge, W.Va., and Drema Harvey and her husband, Kevin, of Beckley, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Patti Jo James of Albuquerque, N.M.; a grandson, Greg Harvey and his wife, Shanielle, of Glen Morgan; five grandchildren, Adam, Geordyn, Zane, Cami Jo and Jaxon; a stepson, Terry Young and his children; sisters, Betty Almond and her husband, Ted, of Cool Ridge, Linda McAteer and her husband, Brown, of Heath Springs; a brothers, Frank Meador and his wife, Elva, of Cool Ridge; several nieces and nephews, among them Jim Kiser and his wife, Bonnie, who was like a brother to Louise. She was preceeded in death by her four sisters, Eula F. Meador, Iris Keith, Edna Farley, Joann Moye; and three brothers, Nile, Jack and Vaughn "Pete" Farley. A "Service of Remembrance" was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Melton Mortuary Chapel in West Virginia, officiated by the Rev. Charles McAteer. Louise was laid to rest in the Garden of Devotion at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity in West Virginia. The family suggests donations of sympathy to the charity of your choice.
