Mrs. Marguerite "Polly" Funderburk Robinson Stogner, 87, passed away March 12, 2013, at her home. She was born September 15, 1925, in Lancaster County and was the daughter of the late Judson Funderburk and Kate F. Funderburk. Mrs. Stogner was twice married, first to the late Broadus Robinson and secondly to Oscar "Buck" Stogner. She was a retired business owner, a former volunteer for Springs Memorial Hospital and an active member of The Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church where she was an active choir member and leader of United Methodist Women, past membership secretary, served on the food committee, past circle leader and served on the visitor committee. Mrs. Stogner is survived by her husband, Oscar "Buck" Stogner; two daughters, Trudy Stewart and her husband, Wayne, of Rock Hill and Kathy Kirkley and husband, Claude, of Lancaster; two stepchildren, Paulette Hendrix and Linda Jensen; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Frankie Robinson; five brothers, Emory Funderburk, Bennie Funderburk, J.P. Funderburk, Tom Funderburk, Allen Funderburk and Jud Funderburk; and four sisters, Ora Funderburk, Hortence Pardue, Ruth McManus and Mace Smith. The celebration of life funeral services for Mrs. Stogner were 3 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Taylor's Grove Baptist Church, officiated by the Revs. Tommy Howell and Mary Green, with burial at Lancaster Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials be made to Taylor's Grove Baptist Church, 2382 Charlotte Highway, The Church of the Good Shepherd UMC, 1005 University Drive or Catawba Baptist Church youth fund, 1144 Riverside Road.
