Mary Jane Plyler Estridge

KERSHAW – Mrs. Mary Jane Plyler Estridge, 67, passed away at her home, Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, surrounded by her family and friends.
Mary Jane was born in Richmond, Va. and was a daughter of the late Ezell Azarah and Georgia Lee McManus Plyler.
Mary Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting and anything pertaining to nature. She loved to pray for her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Edwin; her daughter, Angel Estridge; and her granddaughter, Ember Estridge, all of Kershaw.
Also surviving are a sister, Lucy Burgess and her husband, Tommy; three brothers, Robert Plyler, Mike Plyler and his wife, Marcy, Joe Plyler and his wife, Wanda, all of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Rachel Plyler of Lakeland, Fla.; her in-laws, Harriet Estridge, Virginia Lee Faile and her husband, S.W., Pauline Williams and her husband, Wayne, Robert Estridge and Frank Estridge; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Plyler; a sister, Thetus Faile and her husband, Keith; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Gena Plyler, William Estridge, Paul Estridge and his wife, Carolyn, and Jeannie Estridge.
Services to celebrate the life of Mary Jane Plyler Estridge, are 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at Midway Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Todd Gandy, with a private burial.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home, 7263 Estridge Ave., Kershaw.
