Rachel (Brown) Clark(1935 - 2014)

Mrs. Rachel Brown Clark, 79, passed peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2014, at her home.
A native of Lancaster, Mrs. Clark was born Feb. 4, 1935 to the late Mr. Jack and Mrs. Beulah Mackey Brown. A devoted Christian and homemaker, she was the widow of the Rev. Ike C. Clark.
Mrs. Clark was renowned for her love of the Lord, her family and her church family. Her laughter was infectious. Many remember Mrs. Clark for her warm embrace.
Survivors include a son, Donald (Loretta) Clark; three daughters, Debra (Elijah) Dawkins, Denyse Clark and Drena (Henry) McCoy, all of Lancaster; grandchildren, Calita (Gerard) Taylor, Carlos (Nikisha) Dawkins, Donika (Michael) Quattlebaum, Demesha Clark, Hendryx McCoy, Brenisha Frazier, Demaijion Hall and Dreona McCoy; great-grandchildren, Demond Dawkins, Jermarick Jones, Gabriel Stewart, Marquis Smith, Eboni Dawkins, Michaela Quattlebaum, Madison Dawkins, Marissa Jordan, Jaden Jordan and Caleb Quattlebaum; two sisters, Ruth Duncan of Reading, Pa., and Lela Cousar of Lancaster; a brother, Roger Brown of Lancaster; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents and brother, Jack T. Brown.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at Community Hospital Church, 1592 Kershaw Camden Highway, officiated by the Rev. Wilbur Wright.
The wake is from 6 to 8 p.m. today, April 16, at McMullen Funeral Home and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
