Robert Earl Brasington

KERSHAW – Mr. Robert Earl Brasington, 70, of Kershaw passed away Friday, June 28, 2013, at Grand Strand Regional Hospital in Myrtle Beach.
He was born February 16, 1943, in Lancaster and was a son of the late Robert Franklin Brasington and Ruby Ladell Faulkenberry Brasington.
Mr. Brasington was a mason, a member of the American Legion and a Vietnam veteran. He was a devoted family man and had numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Mr. Brasington is survived by his wife, Cathy Ann Brasington of Kershaw; one son, Brian West and his wife, Joy, of Lancaster; three brothers, James Louis Brasington and his wife, Linda, of Lugoff, the Rev. George L. Brasington and his wife, Joyce, of Kershaw and Richard G. Brasington of Lancaster; one sister, Alice Peach and her husband, Howard, of Lancaster; and five grandchildren, Brandon West, Larry Robinson, Bryan West II, Kaili West and Khloe West.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Brasington are 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, at Lancaster Funeral Home chapel, officiated by the Revs. Patrick Clark, George Brasington and Howard Allen, with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 30, at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4705 Haile Gold Mine Road, Kershaw, SC.
