Mr. Steve Franklin Miller Jr., 76, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at his home. He was born July 18, 1936, in Jefferson and was a son of the late Steve Franklin Miller, Sr. and Lessie Louise Williams Miller. Mr. Miller was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He retired from Springs Industries after 49 years of service. His hobbies were fishing, camping, motorcycles and spending time with his family. He also loved to go to turkey shoots. Survivors include his wife, Martha Virginia Boling Miller; a son, Joey Reynolds and his wife, Wanda, of Cape Coral, Fla.; two daughters, Kay Snipes and Pandora Verdone, both of Lancaster; two sisters, Shirley Payne of Greer and Vicki Hardy of Uma, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Charles Medlin, Danny Burch, Carmon Bailey, Ashley Sibrans, David Allen and Joseph Reynolds; ten great-grandchildren; five nieces; and one nephew. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Miller will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at Catawba Baptist Church, 1144 Riverside Road, officiated by the Rev. Bill Parker. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Feb. 13, at Lancaster Funeral Home, 709 N. White St. and other times at the home, 2354 Continental Drive.
