KERSHAW – Mrs. Sylvia Ann Vincent Taylor, 77, widow of the late Byron Kenneth Taylor, of Kershaw passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013.
She was born June 15, 1935, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Baxter and Willie Maude Faile Vincent. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Charlesboro Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and sister. She loved going to church and reading her Bible. Mrs. Taylor was a babysitter to many children in the community and loved working with her flowers.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Taylor will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Charlesboro Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Charlesboro Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by two sons, Byron E. Taylor and his wife, Marilyn, of Pageland and John S. Taylor of Kershaw; a sister, Elaine Capps and her husband, Pete, of SouthPort, N.C.; two brothers, John B. Vincent and his wife, Shirley, of Kershaw and Barry Vincent and his wife, Gail, of Lancaster; and a special caregiver, Crystal Vincent.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Joan E. Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Charlesboro Baptist Church and other times at the home, 8723 Taxahaw Road, Kershaw.
