Mr. Mitchell E. Crenshaw, 61, of Lancaster, widower of Evelyn Virginia Catoe Crenshaw, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, in Ridgeway.

He was born July 9, 1952, in Lancaster, a son of the late Travis and Euthia Mae Bradley Crenshaw.
Mr. Crenshaw retired from the U.S. Navy with 20 years of service and from the U.S. Postal Service with 14 years of service.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Crenshaw is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at the chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with Mr. Keith Crapps officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mr. Crenshaw is survived by a daughter, Tonya Gesek of Virginia; a stepdaughter; two stepsons; a brother, Stanley Crenshaw and his wife, Sharyn, of Lancaster; a sister, Frances Marshall and her husband, Sammy, of Lancaster; two grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Crenshaw.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 5, at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Stanley and Sharyn Crenshaw, 609 North French St.
