KERSHAW – Alice Faile Catoe, 83, of Kershaw died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in Lancaster Convalescent Center. Catoe was born in Kershaw, a daughter of the late George Washington and Dora Morgan Faile. Mrs. Catoe loved to fish. Survivors include, two sons, Michael Wayne Catoe and Jimmy C. Catoe and his wife, Ragina; a daughter-in-law, Libby Catoe, all of Kershaw; three grandchildren, Amanda C. Roberts and her husband, Joel, Jasper Catoe and Jeremiah Catoe; five great-grandchildren, Bethany Leigh Catoe, Riley Roberts, Kailey Catoe, Jacob Darrell James Catoe and Eli Roberts; two sisters, Ollie Newell and Mary Cauthen; two brothers, Thomas Faile and 'Pete' Faile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Miller Catoe; two sons, John Daniel Catoe and Darrell Eugene Catoe; two sisters, Myrtle Sims and Rena Catoe; and a brother, Davis Faile. A graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Blackmon Cemetery, Kershaw, officiated by David Faile. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 1, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Blackmon Cemetery, c/o James Edwards, 2061 Gold Mine Highway, Kershaw, SC 29067.
