Mrs. Betty Margaret Threatt Adams, 82, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Lancaster Convalescent Center. She was born October 10, 1930, in Lancaster and was a daughter of the late Arthur Threatt and Eliza Jane "Janie" Lucas Threatt. Mrs. Adams was twice married, first to the late Clifford Bobby Adams and then to John B. Adams Sr. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mrs. Adams was retired from Springs Industries. She loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener. Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, John B. Adams Sr.; one stepson, John B. Adams Jr. and his wife, Janice, of Shreveport, La.; one stepdaughter, Linda Sue McManus and her husband, Jerry, of Lancaster; one sister, Ruby Harper of Lancaster; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Sara Adams of Pageland. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Danny Adams; one brother, S.L. Threatt; and two sisters, Zenie Mathis and Dot Humphries. Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Adams are 3 p.m. today, May 24, at Grace United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Brian Humphries, with burial in Lancaster Memorial Park.
