Mrs. Betty Neal Raffadlt Horton, 76, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Lancaster and was a daughter of the late Thomas Jackson Neal and Hazelyn Parks Neal. Mrs. Horton was twice married, first to the late James Boyce Raffadlt and secondly, to the late Lemuel "Jack" L. Horton. Mrs. Horton retired from Springs Industries Cafeteria and was a member of Second Baptist Church. She is survived by four sons, Roy Raffadlt and his wife, Brenda, of Winnsboro, Mark Horton and his wife, Tammy, of Jefferson, Rickey Horton and his wife, Marie, of Lancaster and Michael Horton of Jefferson; a daughter, Lois Taylor and her husband, J.D., of Lancaster; a sister, Helen McCain of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by four brothers, Aaron Neal, Cletus Neal, Milburn Neal and Guy Neal; and four sisters, Inez Rankin, Minnie Lee Phillips, Edna Mosier and Margaret Snipes. The celebration of life funeral services for Mrs. Horton are 2 p.m. today, Feb. 27, at Second Baptist Church, 1426 Great Falls Highway, officiated by the Revs. Dr. Brian Saxon and Larry Helm, with burial at New Cut Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Horton will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home of her son, Rickey Horton, 3312 Pageland Highway.
