LANCASTER – Mr. Charles "Chuck" Franklin Byrdic, 60, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at his home. 
He was born Aug. 1, 1958, in Lancaster, a son of Mary Sue Cooper Byrdic and the late Bobby Lee Byrdic.
Mr. Byrdic was a member of Lakewood Christian Church. He was employed with Duracell for over 20 years and was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard. Mr. Byrdic was a fan of NHRA and NASCAR. He was a stroke survivor who had an ambition to work and had a love for God. He loved nothing more than spending time with family.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Byrdic will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Lakewood Christian Church, with the Rev. Rex Faile officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mr. Byrdic is survived by his wife, Donna Starnes Byrdic of Lancaster; a son, Joshua Byrdic and his wife, Amanda, of Simpsonville; two daughters, Rachel Leigh Byrdic Jordan and her husband, Timmy, of Lancaster and Chandra Hilton West and her husband, Kelly, of Rock Hill; his mother, Mary Sue Cooper Byrdic of Lancaster; a brother, Kenny Byrdic and his wife, Kathy, of Lancaster; two sisters, Donna Marie Adams and her husband, Wayne, and Rhonda Lynn Faile, all of Lancaster; and five grandchildren, Ryan Daniel Hilton, Chase Jackson Hilton, John Hunter Hilton, Kaleigh Elizabeth Jordan and Lily Elizabeth Byrdic.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Daniel Hilton Jr.; and three brothers, William Daniel Byrdic, Edward Dennis Byrdic and Alfred Lee Byrdic.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Lancaster Funeral Home and at other times at the home, 2247 Airport Road.
