Funeral services for Aaron Cody Faulkenberry, 20, of Kershaw, will be held at 10 a.m., today, July 6, 2012, at Flint Ridge Baptist Church, Heath Springs. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Kelvin Hinson will officiate.
Cody died Monday evening, July 2, at MUSC, Charleston. Born in Camden, he was the son of Stephanie Rollins Adams and Michael Adams and the late Ben Faulkenberry. He was a 2010 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School and employed with Flat Creek Quick Stop Convenience Store. Cody also enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Surviving in addition to his mother and father of the home are a brother, Chandler Adams, a sister, Courtney Adams both of the home; stepmother, Charlotte Sistare of Lancaster; maternal grandmother, Darline H. Rollins of Kershaw; paternal grandmothers, Shirley Faulkenberry of Heath Springs and Marlene K. Adams of Kershaw and maternal great-grandmother, Lula Hall of Kershaw; two aunts and uncles, Brandon and Micah Rollins and their children and Bo and Diane Adams; great aunt and great uncle, Danny and Jen Parker; and special cousins, Kevin and Brandon Adams. He was preceded in death in addition to his father by his maternal grandfather, Jerry W. Rollins and paternal grandfathers, Otto Faulkenberry and Floyd Adams.
Memorial contributions may be made to Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C. 29067 to help with funeral expenses.
