Mr. Donald Eugene Willis, 71, went to his heavenly home Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, with his loved ones around him.

He was born Nov. 26, 1941, in Lancaster County, the son of the late John Enos Willis and Mayme Hardin Willis. He was the husband of Judy Sistare Willis.
Mr. Willis retired from Springs Industries, was a Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Mr. Willis is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Sistare Willis of the home; a son, Ned Christopher Willis and his wife, Michelle, of Lancaster; two daughters, Donna Willis Clanton and her husband, Perry, of Lancaster, and Pam Willis Huggins and her husband, Tim, of Marshville, N.C.; a brother, Ken L. Willis and his wife, Jeannie, of Laurens; a sister, Elvia Willis Dorsey of Lancaster; and seven grandchildren, Stephanie Huggins, Robbie Clanton, Megan Huggins, Matthew Clanton, Abby Willis, Tiffany Huggins and Toby Willis.
Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his step-mother, Eldred Lynch Willis and a step sister, Jane Willis Funderburk.
The celebration of life funeral service is 2 p.m. today, Nov. 27, 2013, at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Humphries officiating. Burial with Masonic rites will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family of Mr. Willis received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Burgess Funeral Home.
