Mr. Donald Woodrow "Donnie" Bowers, 70, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at his home. He was born May 18, 1942 in Lancaster and was a son of the late Alva Woodrow Bowers and Lucille Dallis Bowers. Mr. Bowers was married to Barbara Small Bowers. He was a member of Camp Creek United Methodist Church and was the retired owner and operator of B & B Body Shop. Always a sportsman, Donnie was happiest when he was hunting. He enjoyed working on and restoring Corvettes. Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bowers is 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at Lancaster Memorial Park, officiated by the Rev. Mike Catoe. Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife, Barbara Small Bowers; a son, Todd Bowers and his wife, Dawn, of Lancaster; two daughters, Melinda Bowers Moseley and her husband, Scott, of Columbia and Beth Bowers Wright and her husband, Danny, of Lancaster; and five grandchildren, Cody Bowers, Blake Bowers, Alex Moseley, Kate Moseley, and Gracie Wright. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 20, at Lancaster Funeral Home, 709 N. White St. and other times at the home, 3280 Sentry Road. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 412 N. White St., Lancaster, SC 29720.
