Mr. Frank Monroe Bourne, 82, of Lancaster passed away Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Lancaster Convalescent Center.

He was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Britton's Neck and was a son of the late John Otis Bourne and Duffy Hucks Bourne.
Mr. Bourne was a member of First ARP Church and was a pastor in his early years. He retired from Springs Industries following 50 years of service. He loved to work in his yard and being outdoors. He enjoyed being with people and making them laugh. He was well- schooled in Bible study and writing.
Mr. Bourne is survived by two daughters, Patricia Bufford and Jennifer Bourne, both of Lancaster; a stepson, F.C. Hart and his wife, Narvis, of Easley; a brother, Steve Woodrow Bourne of Britton's Neck; a sister, Lucille Davidson of Florence; four grandchildren, Scotty Faile, Celeste Pardue, Kevin Bourne and Cameron Dangerfield; and five great-grandchildren, Mark Pardue, Ashley Pardue, Jordan Faile, Bradley Pardue and Steven Hough.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bourne are 3 p.m. today, Aug. 21, at First ARP Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Kyle Sims.
The family will greet friends following the service and other times at the home of Patricia Bufford, 2325 Ross Cauthen Road.
