Mr. Gaylord "Gary" L. Petroski, age 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. Mr. Petroski was born January 27, 1936, in Meadville, Pa., and was a son of the late Virginia Morris Petroski and Pete Petroski and Wilford Morris. He was the husband of Patricia Howgard Petroski. Mr. Petroski retired with First Data Corp in Charlotte, N.C., after working several years at Springs Industries as a computer programmer. He was a devoted member of the Church of Lancaster and served our great country in the U.S. Army. Gary was also co-founder of Lancaster and regional commissioner of the AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) and was involved with youth sports all of his life through coaching football, baseball, soccer and softball. Mr. Petroski is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pat Petroski; a son, Jeff Petroski and his wife, Carolyn, of Lancaster; a daughter, Pam Petroski of Mooresville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Shannon McKenzie and her husband, William, of Greenville, Reggie Campbell and his wife, Stephanie, of Lancaster, and Patrick Campbell and his wife, Kiley, of Rockville, Md.; and two sisters, Loretta Glasscock and her husband, Jimmy, of Evans, Ga., and Judy Walters of Townsend, Tenn. The celebration of life memorial services for Mr. Petroski are 2 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the chapel of Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Roy Miles. The family of Mr. Petroski will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, P.O.
