FORT LAWN – Mr. Glendale Hancock, 59, of 5662 Hightower Road passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at his home.
The funeral service is 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Fort Lawn with the Rev. Earl Stringfellow officiating.
Born in Lancaster County on Jan. 11, 1954, he was the son of Audrey Lee Hancock Artis and the late Arthur Buchanan and the stepson of the late Percy S. Artis Jr. He was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church and was educated in the public schools of Chester County.
He was preceded in death by a son, Selanton Hancock; his father, Arthur Buchanan; and his stepfather, Percy S. Artis Jr.
Survivors are his wife, Brenda Cloud Hancock; one son, Mario (Tikki) Cloud; two daughters, Glennika Hancock (Verno Moffatt) and Nicole (Lewis) Biggers; mother, Audrey Lee Hancock Artis; four brothers, Edward Buchanan, Robert Artis, Christopher (Falacia) Artis and Elrich (Lynnette) Artis; two sisters, Tara (Eric) McClurkin and Anna Howze; nine grandchildren; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Viewing is 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at King's Funeral Home, 135 Cemetery St., Chester.
