James "Lewis" Walters

James "Lewis" Walters, 77, passed away Jan. 8, 2018, at Springs Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Walters was born Feb. 24, 1940, in Lancaster, son of the late Beulah Walters Baker.
Mr. Walters is survived by his daughter, Michelle McDonald; grandchildren, Elizabeth McDonald, Bobby McInvaille and his wife, Lisa, Danny Pardue and his wife, Gina, and Charles McDonald, PFC and his wife, Brittany; great-grandchildren, Alex McInvaille and Trent McInvaille; and numerous friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cornelia Nancy Walters; and his son, Bobby Wayne McInvaille.
Mr. Walters never met a stranger. He enjoyed working on lawn mowers, fishing and had an impressive collection of dye cast model cars. He was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church and a former member of the Lancaster County Rescue Squad. Lewis was plagued with medical problems from birth but his faith in Christ and always-positive attitude lifted him above the pain to give him a beautiful spirit.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 at McLean Funeral Directors–Mahaffey Chapel.
A funeral service for Mr. Walters will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Jesse Adams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
