Mr. Jerry Leroy Caskey, 71, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born September 3, 1941, in Lancaster and was a son of Elliott "Jack" Caskey and the late Ada Adele Casey Caskey. Mr. Caskey was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served our country aboard the U.S.S. Kittyhawk. He was a lifelong member of Grace United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, youth director and bus driver. Mr. Caskey is survived by two sons, Michael Caskey and his wife, Shari, of Chesterfield and Greg Caskey and his wife, Donna, of Lancaster; a daughter, Amy Cooley and her husband, the Rev. Kevin Cooley, of Fort Mill; his father, Jack Caskey of Lancaster; three sisters, Nancye Hammond and her husband, Jack, Rebecca Ghent, and Rachel Robinson, all of Lancaster; and seven grandchildren, Kevin Caskey, Adam Caskey, Noah Caskey, Ella Caskey, Kara Caskey, Caroline Cooley and Maggie Cooley. Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Caskey are 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at Grace United Methodist Church, officiated by the Revs. Brian Humphries and Kevin Cooley.
