Johnnie Mae Furr Hartley, 84, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at White Oak Manor. She was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Chester County, the daughter of the late Charlie George Furr and Vermell Dennis Furr and was the wife of the late John Hartley. Mrs. Hartley retired from Springs Industries and Lancaster County Care Center and was a member of Lancaster Church of God.

Mrs. Hartley, the last surviving member of her immediate family is survived only by four grandchildren, Debbie Gallien and her husband, Brian, Donna Adcock and her husband, Kennith, David Hartley and his wife, Janet, and Donavan Hartley and his wife, Clelsea, all of Lancaster.
Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by a sister, Lois F. Hartley.
The celebration of life funeral service for Mrs. Hartley will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the chapel of Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home by the Revs. Lacy Jones and Douglas Martin. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family of Mrs. Hartley will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the funeral home and the family suggests memorials be made to Lancaster Church of God, 1437 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster SC 29720.
