PAWLEY'S ISLAND – Keplyn West Cerasaro, 48, formerly of Kershaw, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013. Keppie's life was filled with love and accomplishment. She graduated from North Central High School in 1982. Keppie continued her education at Clemson University where she graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing degree. She completed her education with a master's degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina. She worked in the mental health field for the State of South Carolina, as the director of the Karesh Nursing Facility at Kershaw Health and as a nurse at Georgetown County Hospital. She contributed her time and talent to many charities, causes and to her daughter's dance training. Keppie gave her life in service to her family, friends and, most especially, to her husband, Dr. Thomas Cerasaro; her daughter, Kimberlyn Cerasaro of Pawley's Island; and her three stepchildren, Chris, Stephen and Jackie Cerasaro. Her closest friend at the close of her life was Bobby McMahan. She is also survived by her parents, Calvin and Pat West of Kershaw; two brothers, Matthew and Michael West; a nephew, John Matthew West; and a niece, Katherine Elizabeth West. The cherished life of Keplyn West Cerasaro will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today, March 6, at the Buffalo Baptist Church sanctuary, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, with burial in the family plot at Buffalo Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive guests one hour prior to services at Buffalo Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church cemetery fund, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, SC 29067. Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I am filled with disbelief that she is gone. I am so sorry for your loss. I had been in contact with Keppie over the last 25 years since we were roomates at Clemson - I will miss her!

I am so so sorry to hear about Keppie! She was a good friend and a special person. I knew in the short time that I knew her that we could have been life long friends! I wish I had known she was living so close to me now. My prayers are with her family!
