Mrs. Mary Kay Stafford, 69, died on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road with the Rev. Dr. John W. Cabe officiating.
Born in Mackeys, N.C., Mrs. Stafford was a daughter of the late Marshall Spruill and the late Estelle Everett Powell.
She was a retired schoolteacher with the Rock Hill School District, with 30 years of service. She enjoyed making flower arrangements and loved her dogs.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Thomas W. "Bill" Stafford; her son, Kevin Stafford (Diana) of Catawba; her daughters, Robin Boatright (Brian) of Catawba and April Paulk (Matthew) of Rock Hill; her grandchildren, Tanner and Marshall Stafford and Patrick, Amanda and Samantha Boatright; her great-grandchildren, Marissa and Cayden Boatright; her brother, Mitchell Spruill (Rachel) of Cumming, Ga.; her sisters, Jean Howell (Dick) of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Tracy Love (David) of Richburg; and her sister-in-law, Jean Spruill of Plymouth, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley and David Spruill.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, in Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill; and other times at the home of her daughter, Robin Boatright.
Memorials may be made in Mrs. Stafford's name to the York County Humane Society, 2036 Carolina Place, Fort Mill, SC 29715.

I am very sorry to hear about Kay. I haven't seen or talked to her in almost 40 years, since Rock Hill, but I always thought a lot of her.
