Mrs. Maudell Shehane Vincent, 92, of Lancaster passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at White Oak Manor.

She was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Lancaster and was a daughter of the late William Jack Sims and Eula Blackmon Sims.
Mrs. Vincent was twice widowed, by Jack Shehane and Baxter Vincent.
She was a member of High Point Free Will Baptist Church where she loved singing in the church choir. Mrs. Vincent was an accomplished seamstress for 35 years.
Mrs. Vincent is survived by three sons, Tony Shehane and his wife, Linda, Ronnie Shehane and his wife, Helen and Allen Shehane, all of Lancaster; a daughter, Jane Tripp and her husband, Judson, of Lancaster; a sister, Eula Mae Baker of Lancaster; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Vincent are 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at High Point Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by the Revs. Donald Tillman and James Wilhide, with a private burial.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, Furman Sims, Bill Sims Jr. and Charles "Doc" Sims; and two sisters, Rosa Lee Shealy and Pauline Hinson.
The family will receive friends following the service at High Point Free Will Baptist Church.
