LIBERTY HILL – Mr. Perry Hampton Watford, 73, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville.
He was born Oct. 1, 1944, in Columbia, the son of the late Clarence Watford and Ruby Jewel Wages Watford.
Perry previously owned and operated Watford's Towing in Lexington. One of his favorite things to do was operating his tractor. He loved Lake Wateree and racing, and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Mr. Watford is survived by his fiancé, Bonnie Jones, of Liberty Hill; a son, Perry L. Watford; two daughters, Tammy Watford (Jeff) and Melissa Scott (Nate), both of Lexington; a brother, Jimmy Watford; three sisters, Shirley Cotton, Sarah Skipper and Cathy Wingard, all of Lexington; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The celebration of life memorial service for Mr. Watford will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 9, at Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church, officiated by the Rev. Gene Ghent.
The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
