LANCASTER – Rhoda Ann Blakeley Cribb, 79, gracefully passed from this earthly life and into her eternal rest on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Ms. Cribb was born on Feb. 2, 1938, in Kingstree. She is the only daughter of Marvin Rhodus "Doc" and Pauline Cooper Blakeley.
She worked faithfully as the manager of Security Finance in Conway for 35 years. Upon entering retirement in 2011, she dedicated her remaining time to her family and friends.
Ms. Cribb was a lively and spirited friend who enjoyed life to its fullest. She sacrificially cared for her friends and family, brought joy to every situation and found the good in everyone. When living in Conway, she faithfully attended Seaside Community Church. After relocating to Lancaster, she faithfully attended Lancaster First Pentecostal Holiness Church and actively participated in Women's Ministries.
Ms. Cribb is survived by two daughters, Catherine "Cathy" McCants Powell of Conway and the Rev. Tamé McCants Lambert (Rev. Jimmy Lambert) of Lancaster; three grandchildren, the Rev. Tracy Langdon (John) of Cheraw, the Rev. Kristen Sanders (Jeremy) of Granite Falls, N.C., and Trey Lambert (Malia) of Dickson, Tenn.
Ms. Cribb had eight great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Pauline Blakeley.
Family visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, at Lancaster First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1138 10th Street Ext., Lancaster.
Immediately following the family visitation will be a celebration service of Ms. Cribb's life beginning at 3 p.m., officiated by the Revs. Jimmy Lambert and Tim McKenzie.
Ms. Cribb will be buried in a graveside ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Suttons United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3168 Santee Road, Andrews.
