Richard Steven Anthony, 69, of Cocoa Beach, Fla., passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Elmwood Cemetery in Fort Lawn. Following the service, friends and family are invited for lunch at The Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Fort Lawn.
Steve was born Nov. 27, 1948, in St. Petersburg, Fla., the son of the late Charles William Anthony and Melba Thrailkill Anthony of Florence.
Survivors include brothers, Edward James Anthony (Alice) of Mount Pleasant, Robert William Anthony (Anne) of Charlottesville, Va., and Terry Grant Anthony of Cocoa Beach, Fla.
Steve was preceded in death by his brother, John Thomas Anthony.
Steve served as an airman in the U.S. Navy on the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam War. After his military service, Steve was a quality control manager for The Westinghouse Corp. in the construction of nuclear power plants in Columbia, S.C., and Seoul, Korea.
For the past 20 years, Steve was a self-employed contractor in Cocoa Beach, Fla. Steve loved the outdoors and his dog, Chester.
Steve was a supporter of The SPCA in Cocoa Beach.
