Mr. Rodney Jaun Wano Sr., 55, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his home. He was born April 22, 1957, in Sonora, Calif., and was a son of Judy Anne Cholez Wano Angel and the late Donald Jaun Wano. Mr. Wano was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He loved his church, golf, bowling and working in his yard. Mr. Wano was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved life and lived it to the fullest. He lived for God. Mr. Wano is survived by his wife, Denise Wano of Lancaster; a son, Rodney Wano Jr. of Lancaster; two daughters, Allison Wano and Shannon Cervantes and her husband, Joseph, both of Lancaster; his mother, Judy Angel and his stepfather, Al Angel, of Tuolomne, Calif.; a brother, Brian Wano of Hughson, Calif.; three sisters, Janice Edens of Tuolomne, Calif., Debbie Neely of Stockton, Calif., and Wanita Ticer of Lemoore, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Joseph Cervantes, Kristen Cervantes, Cecilia Cervantes, Kenya Miller, Isiaih Miller, Rodney Lestat Wano, all of Lancaster and Christine Wano of Rock Hill. He was preceded in death by his father, Don Wano and his stepmother, Betty Wano. Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Wano are 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Lancaster Funeral Home- Chapel, officiated by the Revs. Trent McLaughlin and Chris Blackmon. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2129 Flat Creek Road.
