RIDGEWAY– Mr. Roy Hudson, 94, died Thursday, April 11, 2013. He was born in Winnsboro on August 12, 1918, and was a son of the late William Hudson and Emma Pearson Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a retired police officer at the University of South Carolina, a member of the Ridgeway Masonic Lodge and the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Aimwell Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Roy Hudson and his wife, Betty Kay, and William Keith Hudson and his wife, Mattie; one sister, Leona Hudson Boyd; two grandchildren, the Rev. Wendy Hudson-Jacoby and her husband, Mike, and Kent Cooper Hudson and his wife, Mandee; and four great-grandchildren, Jackson Hudson-Jacoby, Wesley Hudson-Jacoby, Anya Hudson-Jacoby and Wyatt Kooper Hudson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Montez Cooper Hudson, and two brothers, Albert Hudson and Vernon Hudson. Funeral services for Mr. Roy White Hudson were 3 p.m. Saturday April 13, at Aimwell Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. M.D. Connor, with burial in the church cemetery.
