MONROE – The Rev. Bobby Edward Hardin, 62, passed away Jan. 2, 2013. He was born in Cherokee County on Jan. 21, 1950, the son of Marjorie Campbell Clark and the late G. N. Hardin. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Hardin.

The Rev. Hardin was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired Baptist minister.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Covenant Baptist Church, 165 Craig Manor Road, Lancaster, led by Dr. Bert Welch. A visitation reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be Saturday, at 3:30 p.m., in Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC
In addition to his mother, the the Rev. Hardin is survived by his wife of 41 years, Edythe Bradford Hardin; a son, Rodney Neal Hardin and wife, Tami, of Stallings, N.C.; daughter, Stephanie Hardin Williams and husband, Galen, of Monroe; brothers, Steve Hardin of Concord and Timothy Hardin of Columbia; sister, Jane Hardin Rinehart of York; and grandsons, Frazier and Turner Williams.
