Mrs. Vicky Quinn Robinson, 64, of Chapin, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia.
She was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Frank E. Quinn and Jewel Morton Quinn Hinson.
Vicky received her B.S. in Elementary Education and her M.A. in Reading at Winthrop University. She served as a teacher, reading specialist, and administrator until she retired from the state in 2001.
She had a second career in educational publishing, serving as a consultant and sales representative with Scott-Foresman and Houghton-Mifflin Harcourt before retiring in 2009.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Robinson is 3 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014 at Unity A. R. P. Church with the Rev. Charles Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the Unity A. R. P. Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband of 42 years, John Cloud Robinson Ed.D. of Chapin; two sons, Bradley Cloud Robinson and his wife, Crystal, of Easley, and Jonathan Ross Robinson and his wife, Melissa, of Asheville, N.C.; five precious grandchildren, Ana Wylie Robinson, Jackson Robinson, Buckner Robinson, Maple Robinson and Brody Robinson; half-siblings, Becky Hinson Brown and her husband, Rick, of Dalzell, Glen Hinson of Lancaster and Bryan Hinson and his wife, Angie, of Lancaster; brother-in-laws, William W. Robinson and his wife, Nancy, of Zurich, Switzerland, and Ben Crawford and his wife, Jeannie, of Raleigh; six nieces and nephews; one great niece; and many wonderful friends.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
