LANCASTER – Mr. William Kenneth Varnadore, 84, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, at his home.
He was born June 13, 1933, in Chester County, a son of the late Clarence Alex Varnadore and Esther Long Varnadore and is the husband of Elizabeth Carter Varnadore.
Mr. Varnadore retired from Springs Industries-Engineering Department and served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a shriner, a member of the Jackson Shrine Club and previously served as captain of the Hejaz Color Guard. Mr. Varnadore was a member of Shiloh A.R.P. Church and had served as a Deacon.
Mr. Varnadore is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth "Lib" Varnadore; two sons, Doug Varnadore and his wife, Cathy, of Appling, Ga., and Chris Varnadore and his wife, Leigh, of Daniel Island; and six grandchildren, Joey Varnadore, Wesley Varnadore, Luke Varnadore, Will Varnadore, Leighton Varnadore and Logan Varnadore.
Mr. Varnadore was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Varnadore.
The celebration of life service for Mr. Varnadore will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at Shiloh A.R.P. Church. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends following the service in the family life center.
