FORT LAWN – Mr. Ancle Columbus Small, 97, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Springs Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at High Point Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. Howard Messer and Ronnie Helms officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday in the sanctuary of High Point Free Will Baptist Church.
Mr. Small was born June 19, 1916, in Lancaster County and was a son of the late Charlie Small and Nellie Hinson Small.
He attended the schools of Lancaster County and was retired from J.P. Stevens Company. Mr. Small was a member of High Point Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of more than 29 years, Clarice Fisher Small; three sons, Roger Small and wife, Barbara, of Lancaster, Larry Small and wife, Patty, of Lancaster, and Johnny Small of Fort Lawn; two step-sons, Perry Eller and wife, Jana, of Atlanta, and Charles Eller and wife, Ann, of Charlotte; two daughters, Brenda Young and Linda Small, both of Fort Lawn; one step-daughter, Marie Root and husband, Michael, of Iron Station, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three brothers, David Small of Chester, Charles Small of Hartsville and Lloyd Small of Lancaster; three sisters, Gladys Pierce and Alma Hurst of Leslie, and Von Blackmon of Pageland.
Mr. Small was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel McCoy Small; and two sons, Gary Columbus Small and Jessie Allen Small.
