Born on Feb. 11, 1932, in Lancaster, Mrs. Bowers went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

She was the daughter of the late Charles Manuel and Avis Gertrude Adams Hudson and she was the widow of the late Melvin A. Bowers. Annie loved gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her two daughters, Judy Hartley (Bobby) of Heath Springs, Rebecca Ann Bowers from Stratham, N.H.; two sons, Tracy Bowers and Michael Bowers (Windy) from Heath Springs; brother Frank Hudson; sister, Elnora Bowers from Heath Springs; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Annie was proceeded in death by her stepmother, Winnie Hanna Hudson; brother, Theron Hudson; and sister, Mildred Phillips.
Services are 2 p.m. today, March 21, at McLean Funeral Directors, Mahaffey Chapel. The Revs. Doug Martin and Matthew Hartley will be officiating. Interment will be at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at McLean Funeral Directors, Mahaffey Chapel.
