Marcine McManus, 77, of Heath Springs, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014.

Born Oct. 3, 1936, in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Kay and Ada Sims Mackey.
Marcine retired from Springs Industries as a supervisor after serving 38 years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, known to many as "BB" or "MawMaw Steve." She was grandma to anyone who wanted to consider her their grandma.
She enjoyed Senior Adult trips with Fork Hill Baptist Church, crocheting, collecting antiques, making beautiful cakes, baking and cooking for people, gardening and running "BB's Taxi" for years.
Marcine is survived by her loving husband of 57 1/2 years, Ralph McManus; daughter, Sheila McManus; son, Clint McManus and his wife, Frances; sisters, Genny Lynn Mungo and Clarice Edna Knight; grandson, Michael McManus and his wife, Kim; granddaughter, Dawn Mangum and her husband, Wayne; many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and adopted daughter, Anita Shirley, who made sure she stayed busy helping to raise many precious children.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fork Hill Baptist Church Playground Fund.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon today, May 21, with a service at noon at Fork Hill Baptist Church, 1125 Fork Hill Road, Heath Springs. Pastors Kenny Pittman and Benjy Simmons will officiate. A graveside service will follow at Fork Hill Cemetery.
