HEATH SPRINGS – Mr. John Marion Shehane, 74, of Heath Springs, passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at his home.

He was born Nov. 30, 1939, in Heath Springs, a son of the late Charlie Richard Shehane and Anna Estelle Bowers Shehane. Mr. Shehane was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was retired from Michelin as a computer operator. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and repairing broken things.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Shehane is 3 p.m. today, Sept. 3, at New Hope Baptist Church, with the Revs. Patrick Clark and Ken Cole officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Shehane is survived by his wife, Brenda Henry Shehane; a daughter, Susan S. Faulkenberry-Barnes of Heath Spring; two grandchildren, Jonathan A. Faulkenberry and his wife, Leighann, of Seattle, Wash., and Jordan K. Faulkenberry and his wife, Courtney, of Scranton, Pa.; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Brielle Faulkenberry of Scranton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home, 1515 Bayspring Road, Heath Springs.
