Algie Darwin Barrineau, 87, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. He was born June 1, 1925, in Andrews, a son of the late Thomas and Janie Barrineau. Mr. Barrineau was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of the Jackson Lodge No. 53. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired machinist. He loved working in his wood shop.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Barrineau will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church with the Revs. Brian Humphries and Chris McEachern officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.
Mr. Barrineau is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Barrineau of Lancaster; two sons, Russell 'Rusty' Barrineau and his wife, Judy, of Lancaster and Richard Barrineau and his wife, Jacque of Texas; seven grandchildren, Ricky Barrineau, Lorraine O'Brien, Leanne Scaccia, Katy Barrineau, Jessica Carter, Nicole McEachern and Brittany Catoe; and 11 great- grandchildren.
