Robert 'Steve' Taylor, 55, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at his home. He was born Sept. 25, 1957, in Monroe, N.C., a son of Carol Holden Taylor and the late Robert Wayne Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a member of Charlesboro Baptist Church and was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He was an avid sportsman and loved to deer hunt and fish. Mr. Taylor loved country music, riding his motorcycle and anything that went fast.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Taylor will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Charlesboro Baptist Church with the Revs. Doug Humphries and Buford Hayes officiating. Burial will be in the Blackmon Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his mother, Carol Taylor of Kershaw; his fiancé, Karen Deas of Kershaw; two daughters, Carmen Taylor and her fiancé, Jonathan Jones, of Huntersville, N.C., and Shannon T. Thomas and her husband, Wesley, of York; a brother, Chris Taylor and his wife, Carolyn, of Kershaw; a sister, Michelle Self of Kershaw; and a grandchild, Fiona Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 28, 2012, at Lancaster Funeral Home; and other times at the home, 2885 Duckwood Road, Kershaw.
