'Don't mourn for me.' Reubin Willard "RW" Jacumin, 66, has gone on to be with his Lord and Savior, after succumbing to cancer at age 66. Born Oct. 22, 1946, in Valdese, N.C., he was preceded in death by his father, William Lawrence Jacumin, and his mother Massie Lee Willard; and a baby sister, Mary Lucille.

RW is survived by his daughter, April Jacumin Good, and husband, Todd; and three granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Good, Anna Lindsey Good and Taylor Addison Good of Connelly Springs; an older brother, William "Bill" Jacumin Jr. and wife, Nell, of Oakboro N.C.; one sister, Katherine Sain of Lexington N.C.; and several nieces and a nephew.
RW began his career first with the U.S. Army, being stationed in Bamberg, Germany, and later in Vietnam. After military duty, he worked for Piedmont Natural Gas Co. in Hickory, N.C., and later purchased and operated a small manufacturing company before going back into gas pipeline construction for Lexington Gas Co., in Lancaste. RW finished out his
working career as a courier driver for Beavex in Hickory N.C.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Bollinger's Chapel UMC,
1215 Carolina St. SE, Valdese N.C., with Pastor Susan Cronk officiating.
