Judy Frances Canupp Bell, 72, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Springs Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Bell was born Dec. 13, 1940, in Lancaster. She was a daughter of the late Homer Housten Canupp and Addie Beatrice Smith Canupp. Mrs. Bell worked for Duracell for 25 years and was a member of First Baptist Church. Services will be at 3 p.m. today, Feb.10, at Mahaffey Chapel, McLean Funeral Directors, 201 N. Catawba St, officiated by the Rev. Randy Hatcher, with interment at Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today, Feb. 10, at McLean Funeral Directors of Lancaster and at other times at Judy's residence. Mrs. Bell is survived by a daughter, Candace "Candy" Bell and her life partner, Bobbie Johnston, of Lancaster; a son, Charles Anthony "Tony" Bell and his wife, LeeAnn, of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Samantha, Shane, Jonathan and Casson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Bell. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Lancaster, 2007 Green Peach Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or the animal rescue of choice.
