Mr. Thomas Allen White, 86, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born January 19, 1927, in Lancaster and was a son of the late William Baxter White and Hattie Jane Caskey White. He was a widower of Martha McManus White. Mr. White was a member of Lynnwood United Methodist Church. He retired from Springs Industries after 42 years of service and was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. Mr. White was a Mason and member of Jackson Lodge No. 53, the Hejaz Shrine Temple and the Jackson Shrine Club. Mr. White is survived by a son, James B. White and his wife, Debra, of Lancaster; a daughter, Carolyn White Watts of Lugoff; two sisters, Elizabeth Barr and Judy Whitaker, both of Lancaster; a brother, Donald White of Lancaster; a brother-in-law, Bill McManus of Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Roxie Morgan of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Michelle Crane, Steven Watts, Wayne Watts, Jamie White, Brian Boswell and Michael Barrett; his great-grandchildren, Dawson White, Jackson White, Collier Crane, Prewitt Crane, Fletcher Crane and Sydney Watts; and his special son-in-law, Johnny Watts. He was preceded in death by his siblings, William B. White Jr. and Charles Marion White. Masonic Rites and Military Honors funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. White are 3 p.m. today, March 24, at the Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum chapel, 1389 Memorial Park Road, officiated by the Rev. Greg Sweet, with entombment in the Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Agape Hospice, 815 W. Meeting St., Lancaster, S.C., 29720, or to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, P.O. Box 667 Mauldin, S.C., 29662.
