Mrs. Ethel Horton Williams, 97, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at White Oak Manor. She was born July 26, 1915, in Lancaster County and was a daughter of the late Lewis Horton and Mattie Beckham Horton. Mrs. Williams was the widow of the late Clyde Elmore Williams. She retired from Springs Industries and worked in home health with the S.C. Department of Health and was a member of Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams is survived by a daughter, Joanne W. Robinson and her husband, Malcolm, of Lexington; six grandchildren, Mike Catoe and his wife, Lynn, Michelle Kahler and her husband, Guy, David Cauthen and his wife, Kim, Darrell Cauthen, Kevin Williams and his wife, Sandra, and Regina Fahmey and her husband, Terry; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Williams and Randy Williams; a daughter, Brenda W. Cauthen; four brothers, Jack Horton, Ira Horton, Claude Horton and Poovey Horton; and two sisters, Ruth Adams and Maisie Bagwell. The celebration of life funeral services for Mrs. Williams are 11 a.m. Monday, April 1, at Second Baptist Church, 1426 Great Falls Highway, officiated by the Revs. Dr. Brian Saxon and Larry Helm, with burial at Lancaster Memorial Park. The family of Mrs. Williams will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family suggests memorials be made to Second Baptist Church building fund, 1426 Great Falls Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720.
