Sarah Lee Hilton Funderburk, 98, of Lancaster, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at White Oak Manor. Mrs. Funderburk was born May 30, 1914, in Kershaw and was a daughter of the late John Minton Hilton and Pearl Ann Faile Hilton. She worked for Springs Industries as a weaver. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Funderburk is survived by sons, Paul M. Funderburk and his wife, Myra, and Douglas Plyler and his wife, Patsy, all of Lancaster; brother, Bruce Faile Hilton and his wife, Dot, of Lancaster; sister, Eunice Peebles of Lancaster; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services are 3 p.m. today, May 1, 2013, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, officiated by the Revs. Jason Myers and Donald Coppedge, with interment at Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today, May 1, at Bethlehem Baptist Church and other times at the home of Max and Myra Funderburk, 1995 Rowland Williams Road. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Paul Maxwell Funderburk Sr.; sisters, Ruth Lingle and Georgia Funderburk; and a brother, Curtis Hilton.
