Mr. Billy Ray Faulkner, 75, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born June 2, 1937, in Lancaster County and was a son of the late George Alexander Faulkner and Mary Lou Faulkenberry Faulkner. He was the husband of Lynn Knight Faulkner. Mr. Faulkner retired from DuPont. He was a Mason, a member of Westside Baptist Church, and served our great country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Faulkner is survived by his wife, Lynn Faulkner; a son, Mark Steven Faulkner and his wife, Jenny, of Lancaster; a brother, James "Jim" Faulkner of Indian Land; four grandchildren, Braylen Faulkner, Cheyenne Rutland and Sydney and Marli Faulkner; and a great-grandchild, Carter. Mr. Faulkner was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Lynn Faulkner. The celebration of life funeral services for Mr. Faulkner were 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at The Chapel of Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home, officiated by the Revs. Paul Smith and Todd Robinson, with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family of Mr. Faulkner received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 3, at Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home and suggests memorial contributions be made to Westside Baptist Church, 2066 Airport Road, Lancaster, SC 29720, or a charity of one's choice.
