HEATH SPRINGS – Mr. Robert Lewis Hendrix, 76, of Heath Springs, widower of the late Marcine Caskey Hendrix, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Heath Springs Residential Care.

He was born Sept. 30, 1937, in Kershaw, a son of the late George David Hendrix and Annie Lou Mackey Hendrix. Mr. Hendrix was a member of Jackson Masonic Lodge No. 53.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hendrix was 3 p.m. Sunday, March 2, from the graveside with the Rev. Mike Hammond officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Hendrix is survived by a brother, Beckham Hendrix and his wife, Catherine Mazie, of Heath Springs; a sister, Sarah Hendrix Bennett of Pageland; five nieces; seven nephews; a special friend, Marie McCall of Heath Springs; and a friend, Perry Schwartz and his wife, Joye, and their family.
The family received friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at Lancaster Funeral Home.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Heath Springs Residential Care for the care and compassion during Mr. Hendrix's stay there.
