Joel McLemore Obituary
The family will greet friends immediately following the celebration of life service at Baker Conference Center; and other times at the home, 1184 Stroupe Road, Lancaster.
Memorial contributions in memory of Joel may be made to the Buford High School Athletic Booster Club, 4290 Tabernacle Road, Lancaster, S.C. 29720.
Joel passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born in Lancaster, he was a son of Joseph C. and Sherry Anderson McLemore.
Joel attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia and worked in the construction industry. He loved to play golf, fish and hunt. Joel played football and baseball at Buford High School. He was also a talented artist, who loved to draw.
Surviving are his parents of the home; a sister, Shannon Parker (Kevin) Murphy of Woodruff; two brothers, Michael J. (Sherri) McLemore and Ryan A. (Dana) McLemore, both of Kershaw; five nephews, Eric, Alex, Tanner, Kaleb and Kohen; two nieces, Anna and Kylah. He is also survived by his special friend, Lauren Faile; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mac and Katherine McLemore; and his maternal grandparents, Earle and Annie Mae Anderson.
Baker Funeral Home, Kershaw is serving the McLemore family.

When I think of Joel, how loving and caring he was. He was able to talk with anyone. Always very attended. He always gave me a big hugs and kiss,with I love you Aunt Lana. One of the things I also remember about Joel, those big shiny brown eyes and his big smile. Lord knows I will miss that for sure. Joel was one of the best person ever. For those that didn't get a chance to know him, you really missed out. Also he was a Christian, read his Bible. He loved sports,as I do, he and I could talk for hours about that. I love this boy big time and will have a hole in my heart until I see him in Heaven. Sherry, Joe, and their kids know I'm praying for you all.

To Joel from John and Deborah Rajski with LOVE. Most selfless friend we have. You and John worked so much that you showed up to help cut our 1 and half acres of grass every Saturday. I fell through my front steps you made sure that Saturday you was there with John redoing entire front steps. Your heart was as big as they come and you are so dearly missed until we meet again im Heaven. We Love You Always!!!
