Donald Edward Grinnell, 91, of Gaylord, passed away on December 22, 2012. Donald was born on July 13, 1921 to George and Gracie (Newcomb) Grinnell. On February 15, 1943, he married Maxine Faye Geshko, who survives.
Donald loved to golf, fish and camp, and found great joy in Northern Michigan and the U.P. He was an avid reader and loved games and cards.
Donald is survived by his children, Connie Anderson and Greg (Jean) Grinnell, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeffrey, son-in-law Terry Anderson, and his brothers and sisters. Donald proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1945.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Saturday at the Nelson Funeral Home at noon until the time of service.
