Eleanor F. (Inman) Greenman Obituary
Eleanor F. Greenman, 90, passed away at her home in Kalkaska on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013. She was born on Feb. 24, 1922 in Boardman Township to the late Edward "Ted" and Mollie (Hager) Inman.
Eleanor graduated from Kalkaska High School and went on to graduate from Central Michigan University with a 2 year teaching degree. She taught school at the M-72 East Weaver School for a few years until she married Glen "Bud" Greenman on July 3, 1945. Eleanor loved painting and her home is full of her beautiful artwork. She also loved her rose gardens, iris' and other flowers and she enjoyed sewing and baking.
Eleanor is survived by her devoted children, Lynette Eleanor (Michael) Neihardt of Kalkaska and Brian Glen Greenman of Big Rapids; her cherished grandchildren, Cristine Lyn (Patrick) Huffman of Ft. Collins, Budd (Becki) Greenman of Big Rapids, Nicole (D.J. Wright) Greenman of Big Rapids, April (Kelvin Wright) Greenman, Marty Greenman of San Diego, Calif., and John Greenman of Mecosta; seven precious great-grandchildren: Tyler, Amelia, Rosemary, Dakota, Joshua, Lauren, and Sean; and her loving brother, Noland (Lois) Inman of Elyria, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud; and her daughter, Nola Sue.
Visitation for Eleanor will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24 from 4-6 p.m. at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Kalkaska Church of Christ with Dan Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.
