Laura Reynolds Laura Liane Gates Reynolds, age 42 of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Community Chapel, at 15th & A Shau Valley Road, Fort Campbell, with Chaplain Capt. Robert Sterling officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the hour of service. Laura was born October 26, 1972 in Germany, daughter of SMA (Retired) Julius Gates and the late Margaret Wilson Gates. She had a love for history, fishing, cats, and going to the museum. Laura was a Christian and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Joshua Reynolds of Clarksville; sons, Jackson Bean of Fort Dix, New Jersey and Noah Washington of North Carolina; daughter, Abby Washington of North Carolina; parents, SMA (Retired) Julius Gates and Letha Gates of DeRidder, LA; sister, Melissa Littrell of Shreveport, LA; aunt, Alice Durham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ft. Campbell Fisher House, 652 Joel Dr., Ft. Campbell, KY 42223. Slaughter, Aileen  
Aileen Slaughter Zora "Aileen" Slaughter of Clarksville, Tennessee, age 81, died Sunday, August 23, 2015. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Kim Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home. Aileen was born March 9, 1934 in Apple Grove, WV, the daughter of Clarence A. and Elizabeth Ash Thomas of Huntington, WV, both deceased. She is also preceded in death by sons, Clarence Edward Slaughter and John Lee Slaughter. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, SFC (Ret.) David Lee Slaughter; daughters and daughter-in-law, Clarice Roxane Fruin of Clarksville, Jennifer Lee Holland of Liberty Hill, Texas and Fawnda Gail Slaughter of Clarksville; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Slaughter was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Point Pleasant, WV, St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, Covington, KY and received her Bachelor of Nursing from Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN. She practiced nursing from 1954 until she retired from Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in 1994 after 35 years of civil service. She was active in Girl Scouts for over 29 years, and member of Eastern Stars Post 547. Mrs. Slaughter was a member of Little West Fork Baptist Church of Clarksville, TN. Pallbearers will be members of Little West Fork Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Little West Fork Baptist Church Sound System Fund. Linda Dianna Green Turner Linda Dianna Green Turner, age 62 of Clarksville, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at her residence. Linda was born in East Chicago, IN to the late Pearson Green and Betty White Green. Mrs. Turner was previously an office manager at Jenkins & Wynne, and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Memorial service will be held Sunday, August 30th at 4 p.m., at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Pastor Ron Gilbert officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 30th from 2 p.m. until the hour of service, at the funeral home. Linda is survived by her husband of 13 years, Jeffrey Turner; son, Jeffrey (Missy) Robertson of Memphis, TN; two stepsons, Shane Turner of Clarksville and Charles Turner of Pavilion, NY; sister, Gene Sargent of Cordova, AL; and three grandchildren, Pierce Robertson, Charlotte Robertson and Journey Turner. Mercer L. Collins Age 79 of Clarksville, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015. Visitation Friday, August 28, 2015 from 12 Noon til 7 p.m., with the family present 5 p.m. til 7 p.m., at Foston Funeral Home. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Foston Memorial Chapel. Burial Cabin Row Church Cemetery. He was born November 30, 1935 to the late James Reed and Willie Dean Batson Collins. He is preceded in death by his sister, Robbie Moe Collins Moody; brothers, Billy and James Collins; aunt, Geneva Collins Willis and uncle, Bill Batson. He leaves to cherish his loving son, Mercer L. Russell D. Darling Russell D. Darling, age 84, of Cocoa, FL, was born on June 30, 1931 and died on July 10, 2015 at his home. A funeral service was held in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin where he was also buried. A memorial service will be held in Clarksville, TN for friends and family. The service will be held at Bible Baptist Church, 3102 Prospect Circle, Clarksville, TN on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2 p.m.

Hunter, Brenda  
Brenda Hunter Funeral service for Brenda Heflin Hunter, age 71 of Clarksville, will be Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Sykes Funeral Home. Andy McQueen, Randall Pardue and Steve Kirby will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Brenda passed away on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015 in Brentwood, TN. She was born on April 11,1944 in Stewart County, TN to Bailey Heflin Sr and Iris Heflin. Dr. Hunter was a lifelong educator. She served as principal at Marshall Elementary, Mahaffey Middle and Lucas Elementary at Fort Campbell Schools. She was a long time member of the Oakland and Dotsonville Churches of Christ. She is survived by her daughter, Candice (Andy) McQueen; son, Craig Hunter; brother, Bailey Heflin Jr.; sister, Connie Anderson; granddaughter, Abigail McQueen; grandson, Henry McQueen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Craig Hunter IDEAL scholarship fund for students with special needs at Lipscomb University.
